November 26, 2022 The Highlights

Our very first foray with church-wide email newsletters was to keep everyone up-to-date on the latest news from the construction site of our new building. Tomorrow, we will gather for the very first time to worship our great and generous God on the Lord’s day in our new space. Thus, it is fitting to now bring our Phase One construction updates to a close.

You can view our journey from start to finish on our website blog.

In early summer 2021, the land was cleared!

Shortly after the land was cleared, the foundation was laid.

We are so grateful for friends from Michigan who supplied steel for the building! If it were not for this provision, our project may have been delayed many more months due to supply chain issues.

The steel frames delivered from Michigan support the roof.

The HVAC units were installed on the rooftop with a large crane.

When the outdoor siding was first installed, it had to be painted white. This photo was taken shortly before the parking lot was paved and landscaped.

The completion of drywall was a significant step forward in the project.

Throughout the construction process, several neighbors expressed an interest in our project…including Mr. Tortoise..

The porte cochere was the last structural addition to the building.

The arrival of the piano marked the beginning of the final stages of the building project.

In late September, Hurricane Ian created delays in the final stages of completing the project. It took weeks for the ground to be sufficiently dry before the tie-in to the waterline could be completed.

Looking back and looking ahead, we have so many reasons to praise God for his provision for his people!
