Mid-April Progress

Mid-April Progress

Progress inside and out has completely changed the appearance of the project site! Read on to see the latest photos!

Remember Edner from Haiti? He continues to work faithfully as foreman of the landscaping crew!

Digging fence posts at the southeast corner of the property…

Crews continue to build the new porte cochère…

Meet Angel and Hisidro—very friendly Guatemalan immigrants working at our church project this week. They are the “tile guys” laying tile in the restrooms. Both men asked a lot of questions about our church. Angel, on the left, told me he had a hunch I was the pastor when he first saw me at a distance walking around…I wish I had asked him to tell me why! (What? I don’t look like a construction guy??)

Meet Diego (aka “Magic”) who lives in Ft Myers and came 8 years ago from Guatemala. He is installing wall tiles in the restrooms.

The cabinet crew works to mount and arranged the cabinets in the new kitchen!

The great room is currently being used as a staging area for the new interior doors! They are ready to paint.

On Friday, cement was poured for the porte cochère…

The tile crew began grouting the tiles in the in the restroom…
