Tiling and Trees

Tiling and Trees

Looking back on the month of April, we celebrated some important milestones in the completion of our permanent meeting space! As we look forward to our target move-in date, we thank the Lord for his provision over the past month and throughout the entire process.

Meet Jose from Colombia! He moved to the United States when he was 15, nine years ago. He is one of the tile guys on our church project, and he has been working all week on the Family Bathroom which is in our Administrative hallway

Tiling in the ladies restroom…

On Tuesday, work on our porte cochere continued this week both up high and down low!

In addition to the young Royal Palms, there are a number of unique tree species planted around the property. The first is Crape Myrtle:

This is a Florida Oak! Did you know that nineteen species of oak are native to Florida?

This is a Gumbo-Limbo tree! The species does well in high winds, perfect for coastal Florida…

Next is a Royal Poinciana tree! They are known for their vibrant, red blooms. It may take a number of years before this tree on the property blooms.

Also planted on our property is a Pigeon Plum, another tree native to Florida!

On Friday, there was a crew in the kitchen installing hardware for the drawers and cupboards.

They also installed shelving in the pantry:

In the worship space, the speakers were wired…

Outside on Friday there was cement poured for the main entrance:

Hopefully it will be dry by Saturday morning…
