WHAT TYPE OF CHURCH IS CHRIST THE KING?

Christ the King Presbyterian Church is a congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (O.P.C.) an evangelical denomination which honors the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God and our absolute authority.  The Westminster Confession of Faith is held as the detailed doctrinal standard of the church, subordinate to the Bible.  We join other Reformed churches in greatly appreciating the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession, and the Canons of Dordt. The Orthodox Presbyterian Church was formed in 1936 to carry the banner of Biblical Christianity and historic Presbyterianism.

WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE SERVICES?

Sunday morning services are at 10:00 AM. Christ the King Presbyterian Church meets at 5510 Santa Barbara Blvd, Naples, FL 34112. Sunday evening service begins at 6:00 PM.

WHAT IS A SERVICE LIKE?

Joyfully reverent worship: We believe that worship is one of the most important things the church does. All of God’s people are called to participate in worship, from the youngest to the oldest among us, engaging our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Our God is holy, beautiful and awesome! We want our worship to be the same, so our goal is to have a musical style that is consistent with our theology: joyful and reverent. In our worship service, we use the new Trinity Hymnal, plus a blend of contemporary, solid, Reformed hymns, songs, and spiritual songs. The regulative principle of worship is held in high esteem, as we are committed to planning our worship services according to the Word of God.

In time, we hope to develop a rotation of youth and adults accompanying our singing with violin, cello, brass, wind and other instruments to make our worship excellent and beautiful. Please let us know if you might be interested in using your talents among us.

Biblical Preaching: Expository, Biblical preaching is a priority at Christ the King OPC. We believe that “faith comes through hearing” …hearing the Word of Christ! Not only are people brought to faith in Christ through this means of grace, but believers are built up in the faith through the preaching of the Gospel. Our goal is to proclaim the riches of God’s grace in Jesus Christ at every worship service.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Join us as we reverently and joyfully worship our God through prayer, singing, Bible reading, and preaching. We encourage people to come as they are and dress in what feels most comfortable.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I ARRIVE?

When you arrive you can expect to be greeted at the door and warmly welcomed to our church. We encourage families to worship together, including small children, as we believe children learn how to worship God best by observing their parents and others worshipping around them. We do have a nursery and toddler room just off the worship area if you would like to slip away with your little one, while still being able to hear the worship service and the sermon.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

As a church, we welcome children of all ages to be a part of the ministry of our church. With spaces for newborns and toddlers in our nursery, we welcome your entire family to take part in learning and growing towards Christ as a part of our covenant-community. Special events for kids and ministry to children of all ages is an area where we are a growing church!

HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?

Christ the King Presbyterian Church is all about walking with God and growing in the faith with each other. There are various ways to get connected: attend a service, join us for a Bible study, or call the church to meet with our pastor or ministry intern. If you haven’t already, take the first step and simply join us for a service.

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Acts 1:8

Then God said, let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures.
